Dr Liwan Liyange visited the National Science Foundation Sri Lanka on 8th September 2023 and held a discussion with Dr Sepalika Sudasinghe, Director General of the NSF, with a view to strengthening collaboration in supporting Technical and Vocational Education & Training (TVET) organizations to develop their training courses addressing the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR). She has already engaged actively in the NSF endeavour towards curriculum development for a diploma course on Data Science to be offered at the TVET level.
Dr Liwan’s visit paved the way for strengthening collaboration, with special attention to enhancing the performance of universities and the TVET sector in terms of research supervision and capacity building.
